In addition to superb food and wine, this year's Tarong Mine Wine & Food In The Park Festival has a jam-packed program of live music and family entertainment running right through the day and late into the night.

2008's headline acts include:
  • Pete CorneliusPete Cornelius & The DeVilles - This incredible band were recently awarded Best Australasian Blues Band and Best Australasian Guitarist at the annual Bluestar Awards. They also took out the Arts Award at the Southern Cross Young Achiever Awards. This is their first appearance at Wine & Food In The Park and we think you'll be impressed! (see picture at right).
  • Midnight Syndicate from Brisbane - this big, funky jazz and swing band brought the house down at the 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007 Festivals. You keep asking for them, so they're back yet again by popular request!
  • The Blues Excuse - The South Burnett's favourite blues band with their new, completely revved-up lineup. Last year the Blues Excuse turned in one of their best performances ever. This year they're better again!
  • Fat Cow - The South Burnett's acknowledged all-star party rock band with a simply brilliant sound. The Cows have built up a big reputation in the South Burnett and they're also back again by popular request .
  • Blue Room - A new two-piece harmonica blues act who'll surprise you with their versatility and talent.
  • Wayne Francis - This brilliant solo guitarist brews up a terrific sound that'll have you yelling for more!

You can also get to see stilt-walkers, fire-twirlers and our usual array of amazing street theatre performers including:
  • Monster BlondeMonster Blonde - the zany acrobats who stole our hearts in 2004, 2006 and 2007. Back yet again by popular request for 5 incredible shows! (see picture at right - or go to their website and see their video!)

What To Wear and Bring Along
Wine and Food In The Park is a relaxed and happy affair.

There's certainly no need to dress up! Most people simply wear whatever feels comfortable. If you're planning on a full day of fun, though, it's probably wise to slop on a bit of sunscreen and bring along a hat.

A lot of people also like to bring along folding chairs, umbrellas, water bottles and perhaps string bags to hold their wine purchases. Plastic cups (not glass!) are also a good idea if you want to sip drinks.

And naturally, you can bring along a throw rug if you want to dine out in the Park (the wide variety of inexpensive food in the Food Court will please almost anyone - all meals are served with disposable containers and cutlery).

There are also plenty of toilet facilities in the grounds, including disabled facilities at the William Street end of the Park.
